Injured and moving forward<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Being in bed for a little over 3 months, with a broken ankle and fibula, eight and then nine nails that tried to weld broken bones in my right leg \u2026 my mind kept plotting the way to get to my destination, the same one that haunted me since I was little in the head \u2026 BRAZIL ..!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

?? Estando en cama algo m\u00e1s de 3 meses, con tobillo y peron\u00e9 roto, ocho y luego nueve clavos que trataban de soldar huesos rotos en mi pierna derecha\u2026 mi mente segu\u00eda maquinando la forma de llegar a mi destino, el mismo que desde peque\u00f1o me rondaba en la cabeza\u2026 BRASIL..! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that time I was in my hometown of Cuenca – Ecuador, recovering from my first attempt at a trip, where just, less than two hours from my home, I had had an accident due to my inexperience in driving a motorcycle. But I was still all determined to make that trip, of which I had no idea how to organize it, much less on a motorcycle since I have no idea of handling or mechanics \u2026 and well everything sounded against<\/p>\n\n\n\n

?? Para ese entonces estaba en mi ciudad de origen Cuenca \u2013 Ecuador, recuper\u00e1ndome de mi primer intento de viaje donde apenas, a menos de dos horas de mi casa me hab\u00eda accidentado por mi inexperiencia de manejo en moto. Pero yo segu\u00eda todo decidido a hacer ese viaje, del que no ten\u00eda idea alguna de c\u00f3mo organizarlo y mucho menos en moto ya que no tengo idea de manejo ni mec\u00e1nica\u2026 y bueno todo sonaba en contra <\/p>\n\n\n\n

?? Family, friends and those who knew about my crazy idea, they no longer worried, nor paid attention to me when I wanted to talk about the trip since they said if it arrives in Peru (250 km approx) if it does not kill itself on the way, it returns to home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

?? Familia, amigos y los que conoc\u00edan de mi loca idea, ya no se preocupaban, ni me prestaban atenci\u00f3n cuando quer\u00eda hablar del tema ya que ellos dec\u00edan si llega a Per\u00fa (a 250 km aprox ) si no se mata en el camino, se regresa a casa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A quick visit with the doctor<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

?? Until the day set in my head arrived, one Thursday I had a last medical appointment where the Doctor asked me to come back in two months to remove the nails and I did internal calculations where i said mmm in two months I will be back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

?? Hasta que llego el d\u00eda fijado en mi cabeza, un jueves ten\u00eda una \u00faltima cita m\u00e9dica donde el Doctor me ped\u00eda acercarme en dos meses para retirarme los clavos y yo hac\u00eda internamente c\u00e1lculos donde dec\u00eda mmm en dos meses ya estar\u00e9 de regreso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Reality Check<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And that Friday I left with everything i thought necessary, i had had enough time to study all the data, such as the price of gasoline by country, how many km are betwen gas station, how many km did i have to drive daily, where would i stay each night, the budget to spend per day, with all the points marked on my mind map.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

?? Y ese viernes sal\u00eda con todo lo que pensaba necesario, hab\u00eda tenido tiempo suficiente para estudiar todos los datos, como, el precio de la gasolina por pa\u00eds, cada cuantos km hay una estaci\u00f3n de servicio, cuantos km ten\u00eda que conducir a diario, donde pasar\u00eda cada noche, el presupuesto a gastar por d\u00eda, con todos los puntos marcados en mi mapa mental. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
