It is truly unfair to call this delightful meal “a Middle Eastern variation of the pizza”. It is a meal by itself and after you taste it, you will understand why Lahmacun deserve its distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I learned to cook it in my homeland and I asked a friend from Turkey to share the recipe. He agreed; lucky for me and for you too. A couple of WhatsApp messages with pictures gave me clear instructions how to cook them properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the end of the recipe, I will explain what I did that actually ‘violates' the sacred companion sauce called ‘Cac\u0131k'. The recipe for it I will share it in the next blog post.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

• Minced Beef meat: 500g.<\/li>
• Tortillas or “corn pancakes”.<\/li>
• Tomatoes: 3 units.<\/li>
• Ripe onions: 3 units.<\/li>
• Cilantro branches: 3 units.<\/li>
• Parsley branches: 3 units.<\/li>
• Garlic paste: 2 teaspoons.<\/li>
• Cooked chilis: 3 units.<\/li>
• Oil: 50mL.<\/li>
• Salt.<\/li>
